I was responsible to develop, coordination, implementation and evaluation the agricultural projects in the APO Member Countries. These projects are mostly on capacity building of different stakeholders’ such as planners, researchers, academicians, entrepreneurs, company personnel for updating the modern and issue-based agricultural techniques and value-chain. In addition, coordinate the training, and APO e-learning programs and workshops on the agricultural issues in the member countries.

As the Agriculture Advisor I was responsible for overall coordination, providing technical supports to the agricultural research and development programs. Farming systems and component technologies developed are being scaled up in the selected Haor regions for technology dissemination. Also responsible to linkage with national and international organizations and coordinate and involve with the projects such as Jonoshilon project-Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands, Food Security project-DanChurch Aid-Denmark, Rice post-harvest yield loss pilot project-IRRI-University of Illinois, Zinc-enriched new rice variety-HarvestPlus-IRRI; also involved with Financial and economic profitability of selected agricultural crops study-FAO, Zaro energy cool chamber (storage) project and Assessment of Possible Changes in Environmental Quality in Sylhet basin, Toyota Foundation, Japan etc. Elected Board Member in International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM)-Asia.

As the Agriculture Director I was responsible for overall leadership, coordination, technical supports to the agricultural research and development programs such as vegetable production in sack, zero-energy cool chamber (storage), integrated crop-livestock practice, agro-forestry, homestead production, disaster risk reduction, model farm development. Linkage and project coordination with Agriculture Technology Transfer Project (ATTP)-BARC, FAO-EC project, Restoration and Conservation of Biodiversity Sal Forest project- Arannayak Foundation, Rice-duck project-KGF-BARC and Toyota Foundation, Japan, Small Scale Water Resources Development project-LGED, River Basin & DRR project-Oxfam-GB etc.

Served in Plant Physiology Division as Senior Scientist and conducted research on stress physiology and sustainable rice farming. As a Scientist of Agronomy Division conducted research on Weed ecology and herbicide. Principal Investigator of Integrated Rice-Duck Farming Project of PETTRA-IRRI.
